Celebration - CD Sunday

This fortnight's theme at CD Sunday is 'Celebration'.
My husband wanted a card to give to one of his work colleagues as he was leaving to start a job nearer to where he lived. The colleague lives in the country and likes wildlife so I based the card around this.

It's a really quick and simple card. I printed a backing paper and the main image from DoCrafts Digital Designer - Woodland Folk Everyday Cd. The backing paper was stuck to the base card then a layer of gold card raised up on foam tape. Then the main image stuck to the gold card. The  word 'Celebrate' was added in the DoCrafts program.
I forgot to take a photo of the inside but I printed off another sheet of a backing paper that had trees dotted here and there. I then added two die cut layers, one gold one white for hubby to right his message on. The card was handed over a few days ago and he loved it.
The challenge runs until Saturday 29th July at 1 pm. Don't forget to use something from a craft Cd, even if it's just the sentiment, and you must name the Cd in your post.

Up The Garden Path - CD Sunday

This time at CD Sunday the theme is Up The Garden path and has been chosen by Margaret.
I had a design in my mind of a gate-fold card with the front having a garden fence, flower borders and a path split between the 2 halves of the front. When the card was opened it would reveal a path leading to a cottage which was viewed through a garden archway. But that's where the design stayed - in my mind LOL! The prototype is still in pieces on my desk and I had to resort to a quick and simple card instead.

I turned to Serif Craft Artist because I knew I had tunnel cards in a digi kit and I managed to find one with a garden path leading to a cottage. The digi kit is by DaisyTrail and is just called Tunnel Cards - I've had it sometime and bought it when Create and Craft sold Craft Artist digikits on Cds. I simply printed out the pages, cut out the design and glued it together. I have added some shimmer to the butterfly at the bottom right but it doesn't show in the photo. The picture below shows the different layers.

The challenge runs until July 15th at 1 pm. You must use something from a CD and you must tell us in your blog post which CD you've used. Serif Craft Artist is accepted because it was available on a CD and digikits were also available on CDs. We don't include downloads as being acceptable for the prize but the team may visit and leave comments on your blog.
